Mumma...Your residence is My Heart

The pillar of my strength, my Moral compass, my best friend, my confidante, my bearer and the first relationship I have had which god blessed me with, My Maa, I lost her on 6th Nov 2023 on the birthday of my Dad. My heart sunk deep but something in me made me bounce back over the water for Air. I am sure that must be a quality I have had inherited from her only.

Losing her made me forcibly stand firm in front of the whole world as bare, unarmed and vulnerable but magically it also brought out a graceful toughness, never before courage in me which got unleashed in just few days as I was performing & witnessing with my Dad all the rituals for her heavenly abode ahead.

Why can’t mourning someone be happy?
Why cant’t we just simply marvel at a life well lived?
When will we learn that the endings are also a natural process, like beginings are?
When will we start celebrating a person for how beautifully they lived?
Celebrate all their laughter, their goodess, even allude to their flaws, because we don’t suddenly become perfect just because we die
We are still the same, Maa you are still the same for me just no more with me now.
Ofcourse I miss you immensely every day. Ofcourse those days with you are over for good.
But does a Mother really Dies, ever?
Does a father really stops caring for you just because they are no longer in visual distance?
Don’t they make us laugh and smile ever so fondly even in memory?
Where is it written that Death is an end? Who decides this?

If one still resides in our hearts and in our soul, what can be a more permanent Residence..??
